Stumble Upon A Comfortable Nantucket Rental Home For Your Next Vacation

Having your own Nantucket rental home makes visiting Nantucket easy. This is especially true if you’re traveling with family or friends. Here’s a wonderful example of a Nantucket rental home you could rent:

Nantucket Rental Home
Often a Nantucket rental home is more economical than a hotel or inn. Having your own kitchen is one of the best features of a Nantucket rental home.

Sit outside and feel at one with nature while you’re visiting Nantucket. Try not to stay in a Nantucket rental home that doesn’t provide decent outdoor seating space.

A porch provides a place to catch up with friends and family.

A gourmet kitchen is terrific for cooking at home. Stop by Glidden’s Island Seafood to choose some succulent sea scallops or flounder. Every Nantucket trip should include a chance to indulge in Bartlett’s Farm wonderful tomatoes

When foods like these are sourced locally, they need just the smallest amounts of seasonings to taste wonderful. Maybe add some salt and pepper or minced basil. Pick up a bottle of your favorite salad dressing and get ready to indulge in a meal you’ll remember.

The beaches on Nantucket are not to be missed. The north shore options like Jetties, Steps, or Dionis are flat calm bodies of water that feel like a swimming pool. The waves are gentle and safe.

South shore beaches like Nobadeer and Sconset are fun if you like a wild surf.

Here are some of my all-time favorite Nantucket restaurants. Some all-time favorite, swanky restaurants that are not to be missed include:

The Galley: This is Nantucket doing chic and it has a terrific water view. Wear something semi-dressy and show up before sunset.

The Brant Point Grill: This place has a comfortable, outside dining room that lets you watch boats and ferries coming and going. The atmosphere is upscale and gourmet. They have a great wine list, and occasionally they have live music after dinner in the bar.

Company of the Cauldron: This old-school, in-town restaurant is cozy and romantic and often features a harp player in the atmospheric dining room. The menu changes nightly, so check it out online or call for details before making a reservation.

LoLa 41: This spot is for the young at heart and promises delicious LoLa burgers and Asian-fusion type dinners, plus sushi.

The Ship’s Inn: Located in an historic whaling captain’s mansion built in 1831, the dining room and lounge are below street level and have an updated colonial atmosphere. Tall windows along two walls let in the summer breezes and let escape the sounds of happy conversation. This restaurant is a good choice for an evening out with friends, or a cozy, romantic encounter.
